Caesarea National Park
Muhrakah: Valley of Armageddon
Nazareth Village: A reconstruction of life in the first century

Day 3: Tuesday 10th January
Tel Dan: The site of worship of the Golden Calves   (1 Kings 12:28-29)
Nimrod’s Fortress: The ancient ruins of Israel’s largest crusader fortress
Valley of Tears: Watch a Movie about a hero of the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the impact this personal story had on the future of the State Israel
Mt Benthal:The Valley of Tears, the sight of one of the fiercest battles in the 1973 Yom Kippur War

Day 6: Friday 13th January
Masada: Hike up the ramp to the top of Masada, the palace-fortress of Herod the Great, used by the Zealots in the Great Jewish Revolt against Rome. Descend by cable car down Masada.
Dead Sea Spa: Float in the Dead Sea!
Ein Gedi: Where David hid from Saul as recorded in 1 Samuel 23:29.

Beit Guvrim: Visit ancient Chalk Caves and explore
Gush Etzyion (Deer Land): Take part in the second longest zip line in the world, jeep ride, and other activities (possibility to opt out if fear of heights)
Path of the Patriarchs: Hike the trails that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob would have traveled
Gush Etzyion Kibbutz (Ohr Koli): Visit the Kibbutz and learn about life and tragedy during the 1948 Israeli War of Independence
Efrat Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation: Engage in a Bible Study with Orthodox Jewish Rabbis and learn about the Jewish understanding of scripture

The "Open Air" Way to Fly

The “Open Air” Way to Fly
Airlines no longer provide substantial discounts for group travel. Because our travelers come from varied locations throughout the United States, it is more economical and convenient for you to plan your own domestic and overseas flights together by our “Open Air” plan. By setting your own flight plan, you retain the option of when and where you depart and return. You can also save money by using your air miles and shopping for the routes with the lowest rates. When planning your air travel, you have the following options:

Option 1: Arrange your flights through Air, Land, and Sea Travel, Inc.. Call 800.799.1094 or email trips@als-travel.com. The agent has preferred flights identified and will attempt to book you with other tour members on the same flights .

Option 2: Book your own air reservations online, direct with the airline, or through an agent of your choice. Provide your flight information to the BFP Travel Coordinator: 800.566.1998 or tours@bfpusa.org.

Upon registration, you will receive a tour study guide plus helpful guidelines and suggestions for travel. You will know exactly what to do when you arrive at Ben Gurion Airport to safely and smoothly get your luggage, pass through customs, obtain Israeli currency, and transfer by taxi to the hotel where your tour group will collect. Plus, a Bridges for Peace representative will know your arrival time and welcome you to Israel!

ARRIVAL PLANNING
Plan your international flight to Israel to ARRIVE Ben Gurion Airport Thursday, March 1 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm Israel time. This will allow you to be met by the representative and assisted with transfer to your Tel Aviv hotel in time for dinner and preparation for our tour motor coach departure from the hotel at 8:00am on Friday, March 2.

DEPARTURE PLANNING
If you are leaving Israel the day the tour concludes, you will be transferred from your Jerusalem hotel to Ben Gurion airport to enable you to be back in the US late on the next day. Plan your return flight to DEPART Ben Gurion Airport after, but as close to 11:00pm, Fri, March 9 as possible. *If you choose to depart an-other day, you will be responsible for your own transfer arrange-ments to the airport.

Travel Insurance
Cancellation fees are charged by our suppliers and are therefore out of our control. To avoid costly cancellation penalties should you or the tour operator have to cancel, we strongly suggest the traveler purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance to cover losses. You will receive travel insurance information upon registration for this tour

Q. I understand the land package is all set, but how do I arrange my air travel?
A. Simply call the recommended travel agent, or book your own air travel and inform BFP of your arrival time so we can plan to assist you at Ben Gurion airport.
Q. When I arrive in Israel, how will I get to the hotel?
A. After you secure your luggage, you will be met by a Bridges for Peace representative who will assist you with everything needed for your safe transfer to our Tel Aviv hotel.

Terms and Conditions

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS: A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 per person is required to hold your place on the tour and is due not later than 4 months prior to departure.

CANCELLATION FEES: If a passenger cancels his/her tour 45 days prior to departure, the total amount paid for the land portion of the tour will be reimbursed excluding the non-refundable deposit. Cancellation 45-30 days prior: 10% of the tour cost plus the non-refundable deposit will be charged; Cancellation 30-15 days prior: 50% of the tour cost plus the non-refundable deposit will be charged; Cancellation 15 days or less: NO refund. Cancellation requests must be addressed to Bridges for Peace in writing.

LAND PACKAGE FARE INCLUSIVE: Eight nights hotel accommoda-tions, based on two people sharing a double or twin-bedded room in first-class hotels. Meals consisting of full Israeli breakfasts and set menu dinners in hotels. Sightseeing as outlined in the itinerary by private motor coach with the services of a local English-speaking guide. Entrance fees for attractions. All transfers be-tween airports and hotels by taxi or motor coach. Service charges and taxes normally levied by hotels and restaurants. Tips to guides, motor coach drivers, hotel porters, and restaurant staff (maitre'd, table waiter) are also included. The price of $1516 is per person in US dollars.

TOUR ITINERARY SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Circumstances may necessitate changes to the itinerary without advance notice during the tour. Bridges for Peace reserves the right to change the itinerary if unforeseen circumstances force a change and is not responsible for any changes caused by unforeseen circumstances.

TOUR CANCELLATION: Bridges for Peace reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the tour at any time. All monies associated with the land package would then be fully refunded.

NOT INCLUDED: Passport costs, visa fees (if any), and health documentation costs (when required); lunches; food and beverage (including coffee and tea) not usually included with the set menu meals; optional sightseeing tours and excursions; accident and baggage insurance; transporting and handling excess luggage; tips to persons rendering special personal services; items of a purely personal nature such as laundry, telephone, and cable expenses, room service orders, etc.; transportation between the home city and the international departure city.

AIR ROUTINGS: The traveler assumes full responsibility to reserve and book air transport from their point of domestic origin to their international gateway to Ben Gurion airport, Tel Aviv, Israel, and return. Payments for and restrictions on airline tickets are governed by the applicable fare arranged by the traveler with the recommended travel agent or through the traveler’s own agent or direct with the airline of choice. Cancellation fees levied by the airlines are applicable if you cancel or change your air ticket for any reason after purchase of air ticket.

HOTELS: Tour prices are per person, based on two people sharing a room in first-class hotels. Single rooms subject to availability and at an additional cost of $632.00. Any tour participant without a roommate will have to pay the single room surcharge.

BAGGAGE: Exact limitations will be prescribed by the airline(s) you fly, but for ground transportation purposes you may carry no more than two (2) pieces of luggage whose overall dimensions do not exceed 62 inches (length + width + height) and whose weight does not exceed fifty (50) pounds in total, per piece. Each passenger may also bring one (1) piece of carry-on luggage. Tips to hotel porters are included for one normal sized piece of luggage, excluding carry-on bags which must remain in your possession at all times. Garment bags cannot be carried. Under no circumstances may dangerous articles such as firearms, explosives, oxygen, or combustible substances be contained in any baggage. Medications, valuables, passports, eyeglasses, basic toiletries, and a change of clothing should be packed in your carry-on bag.

DISABILITIES: Due to the difficult terrain at sites we will visit, persons requiring oxygen or oxygen therapy will not be permitted on the tour. For reasons of passenger safety and well-being, persons with impaired mobility, vision, or mental capacity will not be permitted on the tour. Bridges for Peace reserves the right to refuse passage to someone who is in such physical or mental condition as to be unfit for travel or who may require care and attention beyond that which the tour guide and tour host can provide. The tour requires a substantial amount of walking and many sites are not accessible by wheelchair.

INSURANCE: Bridges for Peace is not responsible for damage, loss, or theft of luggage and/or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident, illness and/or death as a result of any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including, but not limited to, defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, terrorist attacks, hostage situations, kidnappings, hijackings, protests, riots, public demonstrations, or theft. For your protection, it is important that you have adequate insurance to cover these possibilities.

PASSPORT: A valid passport is required and must be obtained by each tour member. Complete instructions and application forms for passports can be obtained by contacting your local courthouse or post office.

PRICE CHANGES: All rates are quoted in US dollars and are based on tariffs and costs in effect, and though never expected, prices are subject to change.

All coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that Bridges for Peace shall not be liable for any accident, loss, injury, death, or damage of any kind to you or to those traveling with you. This includes, but is not limited to, conditions beyond its control, defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, terrorist attacks, hostage situations, kidnappings, hijackings, protests, riots, public demonstrations, theft, delay or cancellation of or changes in itinerary or schedules. At the time of printing a travel warning was issued by the United States Department of State was in effect for parts of Israel and the West Bank. Remember also that all travel documents as well as compliance with customs regulations are your responsibility. The terms under which you agree to take these tours cannot be changed or amended. The passenger contract in use by your airline, when issued, constitutes the sole agreement between it and you. By virtue of my signature on the registration form, I acknowledge and assume all risks associated with this trip and I agree that Bridges for Peace assumes no liability of any kind, and I hereby expressly waive any and all possible claims against Bridges for Peace,
